With the temperatures heating up, you may be ready to spend some time in your personal outdoor above ground or in-ground pool, and if you have one, you’re doing better than me. Writers can’t afford pools in their backyards, at least, we can’t afford houses with ready-to-go pools in our backyards. We might be able to afford a fixer-upper that needs a complete pool overhaul…. But anyway, I think we can all agree that lounging by the pool is a great way to relax and unwind and enjoy a book, like The Tiny Vampire From Outer Space That’s Bitey XIV: Vampire Vacation.
But Before You get in the Pool, Make Sure It’s Ready
If you live in a colder climate, like Indiana, you’re probably just now unwrapping your pool from the winter or at least, thinking about it. It’s still cold up here. It’s June 2, 2024, and the outside temperature is 68 degree. It’s cloudy and raining. Not a good day to go swimming up here, but it is a good day to start thinking about unwrapping your pool for the summer, cleaning it and getting it properly sanitized.

Get Comfortable
Once your pool is clean and shocked, it's time to get comfortable. Of course, you'll want a place to sit that's out of the sun.

Stay Out of the Sun
Now, before you grab that good book, remember to shield yourself from the sun. after all, if you get lost in your book for hours, you could wind up with a burn!

The Tiny Vampire
The tiny vampire from outer space that's bitey is an adult fiction book featuring Marcus and Shadow. If you're looking for a space adventure, an Earth colonization book by aliens or a family drama, this vampire series is for you. It's available as a digital book, Kindle Unlimited, audiobook or paperback. I always recommend starting with book 1 and working your way through the series. As of the writing of this article, I'm on book 22. It should be available in a month or so.
The Tiny Vampire From Outer Space That’s Bitey: Escaping Umbra (Shadow Conn Tiny Vampire Book 1)
With the food supply running out, tiny vampire, Shadow, has no choice but to leave her home planet of Umbra in search of a better food supply. There's only one problem, Umbra doesn't have any spaceships. Luckily, there's an Earthling ship not far from her town. Can she stowaway long enough to reach a safe haven?
Now, the little bitey vampire is more of a drama-type book. If you're looking for something a little more racy or a lot more, you might try:

A Sacred Lie
Of course, you might be looking for something a little more twisted. If that's the case, you might consider A Sacred Lie.
