Oh boy. Oh boy. You’ve found yourself in a pickle. You need money and you need it now. In fact, you need it so desperately that you are hitting up everyone you can find on every social media site you can find. Your sick uncle needs $3,000 for an emergency surgery. You’re an author who just published a book, and your username ends in 44568685628966996, and you just don’t know how to get the money for your next book (seriously, this author thing has happened to me). Not to mention, your home just flooded, your roof fell in and you feel a front yard sinkhole coming on! Wait!? That didn’t impress anyone? Well, shit. In that case, I guess you forgot to mention your sick kid who’s life is in jeopardy due to a mysterious illness that you can’t name, but it also requires traveling to a foreign country to receive an experimental surgery, and you just don’t know what you can do about it! So!!! OMG . . You hit up every stranger on the Internet and try to think of the worst possible stories you can tell them.

One of the biggest complaints of using Twitter is all the scam and fake accounts. The good news is that these guys are relatively easy to spot, and if you aren’t sure and accidentally follow them, they’ll usually out themselves pretty quickly, usually anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours.
What Do These Scammers Want?
They want your hard-earned money or your personal information so they can commit identity theft and still get your hard-earned money. I’m just going to be blunt, if anyone asks you for money for nothing, do not give it to them. They didn’t work for it. They aren’t providing you a service or a product. They need to get a job and stop being a scamming loser. In short, don’t give your money to people who ask you for it and expect to have to give you nothing in return. Ten dollars is an hour’s worth of work for a low-end service job. Just remember that.
Understanding What a Twitter Scam Account Looks Like
Most of the Twitter scam accounts look exactly the same. It’s the same theme, just a variance on the words. Red flag words for me include: divorced, widowed, single, one kid, love my daughter, military, general and any type of doctor. In short, if it reads like a dating profile you’d see on Match, it’s probably a scam. Also, beware of any profiles that are exceptionally vague or empty profiles. While these may be real people, it’s more likely that it’s just a scammer that hasn’t gotten around to filling out their profiles.

Because there were two ways to do it. I could put in a Part 1 and Part 2 in a single book, or I could split them. They were initially a single book, but there’s an extreme perspective switch from Shadow’s to an Elder Guard between what I believe would have been chapters 13 and 14. I may be wrong on the chapters, but you get the point.
From my perspective as a reader, it’s more annoying to hit an extreme perspective switch in the middle of a book or encounter a PART 1/ PART 2 scenario in a single book than it is to just split them. I chose to split them. To me, it made more sense to split them out into 2 books than try and create some sort of cohesiveness in a single book.
Oh, and since they were written as a single book and split, they were both out within a month of each other. Of course, as you all have figured out by now, I try to have a new Little Bitey out every month.
This is the most common question I get about the series, so here it is answered. There was no other way to do it. The alternative was worse. The fun part is that everyone who has complained about that did so after there were literally 3 to 4 books in the series available! It’s not like they had to wait for the next installment! *flabberghasted* Because that's typically what I look for when I hit a cliffhanger ending. Is the next part available? If it is, I have no cause for complaint. I just move to the second part.
The other thing is that both of these books are rather intense. I just got done doing both the audios for these, and what I thought was a relaxing set of books.... was more intense than I intended. LOL the characters really do go through a lot of hell, so perhaps a break between the two is needed. I'm even dealing with some of the trauma in later books. Like Marcus is still very upset at the loss of his first childe. The one they didn't know about. So you see that in like book 5 or 6 where Marcus is talking to Oliver about it, and Oliver is like . . . It's okay, buddy. There was nothing you could have done.
regrettably, I am still working on audio books, so please be patient. There is a Little Bitey 7 in the works and probably more after that. My apologies for the delay. I did not know doing audio books would take so long! I am finishing the audio for Little Bitey 5 tonight.

Audiobook narration. Woooooeeeeee. If you want a challenge, get into this. It will kick your ass six ways from Sunday. And you say, butbutbutbutbut I’m gonna hire a professional narrator. Okay, let’s talk about that. The cheapest upfront way to do audiobooks is to split royalties, and ACX is already extremely low. 40% versus KDPs 70%, and so far, I haven’t seen anywhere to set a price for the audiobooks. I have three sitting in audio approval, and they’ve been there since the 30th of November and the 2nd and 5th of December. It’s the 9th of December. So, that right there is extremely unacceptable, but they do tell you it could be as long as 10 days, so there is that. But let’s get into this hiring a narrator thing. It’ll knock your socks off.

Are you wondering what Twitter life is going to be like as you gain an increasing number of followers? Here’s what to expect at each major Twitter follower milestone.
You just opened your Twitter account and things are pretty quiet because you have exactly 0 followers. This is an intimidating position to be in because no one is going to see anything you tweet, and you’re not going to be able to read and interact with anyone’s tweets. However, chill out for a second before you go into your Twitter recommended suggested followers list. The first thing you need to do is fill out your profile. This means you need to say a few words about what you do. You also need to hashtag. For authors, a good Twitter profile might say #author of #fantasy, #sciencefiction and #adultfiction #Writingcommunity #amwriting. That’s a decent author profile. Next, you need to add your author image. You should add that in the small circle. Then, add your background image. You can make your background image anything you like, but if you’re published, I recommend uploading a banner image of all your books. Don’t forget to list your author website or amazon author profile somewhere.
