Therefore, the characters are going to have to make quick decisions so there will be less development of the characters in the story. There are three main genres that are going to be plot author books. These genres are going to be romance novels, mysteries, and fantasy novels.

The first pro is that it can help to foster anticipation and excitement in the reader. The second pro is that the book is going to have good structure. The third pro is that there will be space for exploring more ideas that can be bigger than the individual people or the relationships that they have throughout the book. The first con is that they are going to need a lot of different events inside of the book to make it compelling. The second con is that there are going to be a lot of unexpected twists. The third con is that the books are going to have a lot of ideas about society and technology.

A character-driven book or a character-author book is going to be when the author is going to focus on the inner conflicts of the characters that they have created for the book. Therefore, the author is going to spend a lot of time thinking about all of the different characters, what attitudes or personalities that they are going to have, their personal decisions and how all of these are going to shape the plot of the book.  

Pros and cons of a character-driven book 

The first pro is the lives of the characters are going to be the focus of the book. The second pro is that the story will be about showing how the character is going to develop and how they are able to overcome the obstacles. The third pro is most of the time, the readers are going to be very faithful to the genre. The first con is the readers will have to have the ability to connect to the characters. The second con is that the stories are not going to have a lot of complex turns inside of the plot. The last con is the readers will have to fall in love with the characters in order to like the book.
